Mexican integrator Porcikowi has selected Topigs Norsvin as its swine genetics provider for its new projects in the Sonora region in the northwest of Mexico. With the genetic supply contract, Porcikowi will have access to maternal genetics to produce the new TN70 sow and the Norsvin Duroc finisher boar.
During the first half of 2017, a total of 15,000 breeding females
will be imported from Topigs Norsvin breeding farms in the USA to stock a
new production site of Porcikowi. Boars will also be imported to
populate a new AI center. “We are very proud that we have been selected
by Porcikowi as a genetic partner for their new projects. We are
convinced that our research and development platform, our genetics
program, and our strong team of people, complement the conditions of
Porcikowi and its market, and that this partnership will be successful
for both organizations,” says José Córdoba Domínguez, Director of
Topigs Norsvin de Mexico.
